Illustration for Roald Dahl’s short story, Royal Jelly

Albert and Mabel Taylor resort to feeding their ailing daughter royal jelly with ghastly results. Baby Taylor swells up round as a barrel. Which, come to think of it, shares a stark similarity to someone else Mabel knows...

[ 2 ] 2-page spread.
"From that time forward, Mr. Utterson began to haunt the door in the by-street of shops. In the morning before office hours, at noon when business was plenty, and time scarce, at night under the face of the fogged city moon, by all lights and at all hours of solitude or concourse, the lawyer was to be found on his chosen post."

[ 3 ] Full-page spot.
"The pangs of transformation had not done tearing him, before Henry Jekyll, with streaming tears of gratitude and remorse, had fallen upon his knees and lifted his clasped hands to God. The veil of self-indulgence was rent from head to foot."
